TAKING FOOD TO NEW HIGHS
Join the trip
It’s 2023. Iris and I are packing our bags for a long trip through Asia with our kids. Little did we know it will make us fall in love with Thai, Indonesian and Malaysian cuisine forever. There we saw how spicy sauces, oils, toppings and countless other condiments could turn even the simplest dish into something extraordinary. All thanks to real ingredients, fermentation and craftsmanship.
After months of traveling and eating, we returned home.
Fueled with inspiration and the urge to make people happy with better food, we went down the rabbit hole to craft Crispy Chilli Oils with one simple goal in mind: max flavor, max crisp and zero weird stuff.
We started small, selling our first batches at local markets. People loved them. And before we knew it, they were knocking on our front door asking for more. Turns out, we weren’t the only ones obsessed. That’s when we knew we had something special. And it was time to get serious.
2026.
High On Spice was born.
At this intersection of craftsmanship and creativity, every detail matters. We only cook with high quality spices and fermented ingredients together with our own special brewing method. The result? Three unique Crispy Chilli Oils with not just more crispiness but also with more bold, playful and delicious flavors. No E(vil) numbers. Made for everyone who dares to take their food beyond the ordinary. But no judgment if you bought it for the cool looking jar.
Oh yeah, and did you know chillies make your brain happy by releasing endorphins and dopamine? Yep.
That's why we're called High On Spice!

THE PASTE
It’s our one of a kind umami base that won’t win any beauty contests
After years of experimenting, we developed our own brewing method of reducing fermented ingredients to create a rich, deep and layered base. And yes. It’s ugly. But it's truly one of a kind and gives each of our Crispy Chilli’s those beautiful caramelized umami flavors. Here's a little step by step inside the process. From reduction to caramelization to the final product.
Pretty? Meh.
But the flavor is worth every drop.
